1. a 791Kb PDF of a slightly modified/corrected copy of "The sauzei and 'so called' sowerbyi Zones of the Lower Bajocian", a reprint from Newsletters in Stratigraphy, 3,3 153--180, 1974.

   I have been prompted to put this file here, by the reference to, "Revision Critque de la Paleontologie Francais d'Alcide d'Orbigny. Publication dirigee par J.-C. Fischer Vol.1, Cephalopodes Jurassiques/ 1994", in particular on p.105. where the abandonment of Sonninia sowerbyi, and the replacement by laeviuscula and discites Zones, was referenced to Morton 1975, rather than the above, earlier paper. This could have been just a typo, as I was correctly referenced (p. 127), re the ICZN status of Wesermann's invalid Neotype of Otoites sauzei, but I think not!!

   I intend to follow this up, with a HTML version of this file, with pop up photos of the cited ammonites. I intend to give my collection to the B. M. (N.H.) Museum shortly, so time is of the essence to find and photograph the relevant specimens, before they become less accessible.
